Commercial & Major Loss Adjuster

Recruit Ins are looking for a Commercial Property or Major Loss Adjuster in Scotland or the South East of England.

As a Commercial & Major Loss Adjuster, you will handle a portfolio of complex and high-value commercial property claims, typically in excess of £100,000. You’ll play a key role in providing a first-class adjusting service, managing claims from instruction through to settlement, while maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Commercial & Major Loss Adjuster Job Role

• Manage a caseload of commercial property and major loss claims, ensuring timely and efficient progression.
• Undertake thorough site investigations to assess the extent of damage and policy coverage.
• Prepare clear, concise, and technically accurate reports for insurers and clients.
• Negotiate and agree settlements with policyholders, brokers, and other relevant parties.
• Provide exceptional service to clients, ensuring professionalism and integrity throughout the claims process.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and provide mentoring support to less experienced adjusters where required.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.

Commercial & Major Loss Adjuster Skills Required

• Experienced Loss Adjuster with a background in handling commercial and/or major loss claims.
• Proven track record of dealing with claims typically valued over £100,000.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial property policies and claims handling procedures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
• Self-motivated, well organised, and able to manage your own caseload effectively.
• Comfortable working remotely and travelling within your region as required.
• Ideally ACILA or progressing towards CILA qualification (support available if required).
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
